Dock Lifts are primarily used for moving wheeled or palletized loads onto and from delivery trucks. Because delivery truck height and dock height vary, the requirements and use of individual dock lifts also vary.
Regardless of lift design, each dock lift shares common features that are required for rugged outdoor use. Anti-skid deck plates and beveled toe-guard greatly increase the safe handling of each load, while extra structural steel support enables the lift to withstand impact loading, concentrated wheel loading, off-centered loading, and high rollover loads. Most dock lifts are permanently installed in concrete pits, but some scissors-style lifts are portable for use with multiple dock positions or flat truck delivery areas.
Our entire lineup of Dock Lift families can be modified or customized to meet the specific requirements of your particular application, and each lift meets or exceeds the requirements of all applicable national safety codes.
